Northloop Residence
Situated at the end of a broad road this xeric-cottage garden is a direct reflection of the client and her needs. An investment property, it was necessary that the design function add to that investment. The materials chosen speak of longevity and compliment the architecture without overpowering. Long Limestone seating walls and a dry stack fire pit add to the usability of the space. As always, when planting we looked to the canopy and decided that two shade trees would further add to both the aesthetic, ecological and monetary value of the property. Clumping bamboo creates outdoor rooms and anchors view corridors, while evergreen grasses, both short and tall, flow along pathways contributing texture and movement in the garden.
