The owner of this 50-year-old wood frame house hoped to convert it into an investment property without sacrificing quality design and architecture. Our landscape plans called for a creative, low-maintenance landscape that would add value over time. We assembled a palette of timeless native materials including grand curving limestone chop block seating walls, a dry-stack stone fire pit and custom-fabricated steel mesh gates and trellises. We enhanced the existing tree canopy with two additional shade trees and used clumping bamboo to create dividers between outdoor rooms. Evergreen grasses of varying heights flow along pathways, contributing texture and movement in the garden.
